Trombold Equipment Company History

Trombold Equipment Company was formed in 1961 by Tom Trombold and his brother Bob Trombold. The first office was in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio. At the time they represented only one product line, Adamson Tank Company. Other product lines were quickly added which led us to various types of pumping equipment. Tom and Bob expanded the operation to western Pennsylvania and Michigan in the late 60’s with offices in Detroit and Pittsburg.

In 1983 the company was placed into two separate entities. With Bob Trombold in western Pennsylvania, and Tom Trombold in Ohio. This led to the Trombold Equipment Company as we know it today.

In 1990 Greg Trombold joined the business while a senior at The Ohio State University. The office in the Columbus, Ohio, was opened and expanded our reach to central Ohio. In 1995 we began covering the Cincinnati trading market. Greg Trombold became president of the company in 1998 taking the helm with the help of Eric Trombold and Stacey Swanson who joined the company in 1994 and 1993 respectively.
